SMS Messaging Terms

Maine 207 Connect LLC (also operating as Portland Maine Singles) sends text messages to attendees who have purchased tickets to our events.

How you opt in

Phone numbers are collected during ticket checkout at maine207connect.com. You opt in by checking a box that is not selected by default. Agreeing to receive text messages is optional.

For speed dating and other rotation-based events, table and partner assignments are delivered in real time throughout the evening. Text message is the default and fastest method. If you do not opt in to text messaging, we will send your assignments to the email address on your ticket instead.

We do not require text consent to purchase a ticket or attend an event, and we do not send promotional text messages.

What we send

Event logistics only, for events you have registered for:

  • Venue location, arrival time, and check-in details

  • Attendance confirmation requests

  • Schedule changes or cancellations

  • Speed dating rotation assignments — your next table or partner, sent in real time during the event

  • Match card confirmations following each rotation

  • Match results after the event

  • A request for feedback after the event

Message frequency

Frequency varies by event type. Rotation-based events use text messaging to run the event itself, so you may receive up to 15 messages during a single event, concentrated within the two to three hour event window. You may also receive up to 2 messages after the event with your match results and a request for feedback. Other events typically involve two to five messages.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Maine 207 Connect does not charge for text messages.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages.

If you opt out before or during a rotation-based event, we will send your table assignments to the email address on your ticket instead. You can opt back in at your next event during checkout.

Delivery

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors providing support services, such as customer service, is permitted. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties.
